Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When Emily and I first started performing together, we spent a lot of time at NW Folklife - a diverse and eclectic folk festival in Seattle, WA. We had so much fun learning each others songs, playing various instruments, and singing as buskers!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? AJJ, Only God Can Judge Me Ramshackle Glory, One Last Big Job Wingnut Dishwashers Union, Burn the Earth! Leave It Behind! Ramshackle Glory was the first ever folk punk show that I, Chan, went to! They were really a formative folk punk band for me, and seeing them live changed my life. I decided: if Pat the Bunny can do this, so can I.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Time Of Year” This is one of my favorite songs to play live. It's a fun song to perform on the musical saw, plus we got some immensely talented musicians to play fiddle (Miriam Hacksaw) and banjo (I. Miryam Weiss).
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing sold out shows with our friends Apes of the State and Pigeon Pit!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We would love to tour the entire US someday! We'd also love to play NPR Tiny Desk or Audiotree in the future!
