Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I got an old Casio keyboard and barely touched it. One day my grandmother randomly set it up and played hymns from old hymnals using shape notes I’d never seen. I didn’t even know she played—she was much better than she gave herself credit for.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Scars Tell the Story” “Scars Tell The Story” is special to me because I sat with it for a long time. The idea of kintsugi—repairing broken pottery with gold—shaped it. It became a song about not hiding scars, but letting God use them as testimony.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Opening for Amy Grant and talking with her backstage was a huge early-career highlight. I’m still surprised I got that opportunity. She was one of the kindest artists I’ve ever met, and I was a little star-struck, even if I didn’t fully admit it!
