∙ Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell was one of the group’s earliest supporters, giving Williams the nickname Stage due to his impressive stage presence.
∙ In 2001, their debut album Sinner, cracked the Top 20 on the Billboard 200 chart.
∙ Drowning Pool’s aggressive-yet-catchy sound struck a chord in the professional wrestling world, and their track “Rise Up” became the theme song for WWE SmackDown.
∙ “Bodies,” the band’s breakthrough single and signature song, was certified Platinum in 2019.
