About Wyldest

Artist Biography

Wyldest is the '80s-influenced dream pop project of North London singer, songwriter, composer, and producer Zoë Mead. Initially a trio with guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Mariin Kallikorm and drummer Jack Gooderham, the band's Guy Massey-produced debut EP, Dark Matter, was released in March 2016. The full-length Dream Chaos, released in 2018, saw the band deliver an evocative and assured set of dreamy, shoegaze-inflected pop songs. Mead took the reins on 2021's empowering and sonically rich Monthly Friend, which she wrote, produced, and mixed herself. The darker and more sophisticated Flowers Nightmares, which saw Mead collaborating with Luciano Rossi (Idlewild), appeared in 2022.
