Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. 母が自宅でピアノ教室を営んでいたので、毎日誰かがピアノを練習している環境で育ちました。今でも、家の中の別の部屋で聞こえてくるピアノの音がとても安心します。それが私にとっての音楽の原体験です。

Ahmad Jamal Trio, The Awakening Nujabes, Metaphorical Music Sound Providers, An Evening with the Sound Providers SP’sとNujabesのアルバムは学生時代に通っていた服屋のオーナーに教えてもらって、リリースされたばかりの二作を友達と一緒にゲームをしながらずっと聴いていました。SP’sはずっと聴けるループ、Nujabes氏は展開するトラックと幻想的なサウンドが自分の音楽の基礎となりました。 Ahmad Jamal / Awakeningは素晴らしい作品であることはもちろんのことアルバム収録曲をサンプルしたHiphopの名曲をたくさん誕生させました。現在でもそうした曲が出る度、何度でも聞き返したくなる作品。
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “I Can See Clearly Now” 小さい頃、母が運転する車で頻繁に流れていて記憶に残っている曲。 タイトルのように山の上から遠くを見渡せしているような澄んだ雰囲気が、車窓から見える寒い岩手の冬の景色とマッチして大好きな曲でした。大人になってからもフラットな気持ちになりたい時によく聴きます。 Johnny Nashのオリジナルも素晴らしいです。
