About A-Bones
Garage-rock revivalists from Brooklyn, the A-Bones churned out a high-energy sound that was equal parts garage rock/R&B and psychobilly (drummer Miriam Linna was an early member of the Cramps). Linna and her husband, singer Billy Miller, were members of New York band the Zantees before launching the A-Bones in the mid-1980s. The band went into semi-retirement in the mid-'90s, with Linna and Miller concentrating on their acclaimed garage-rock reissue label, Norton Records.
