A. Savage, also known as Andrew Savage, is best known as one of the founders of the indie rock band Parquet Courts, and has also distinguished himself as a solo artist. Like his work with the group, Savage's 2017 solo debut, Thawing Dawn, was dominated by dark, melodic tunes fueled with edgy energy and dour wit, presented in a more streamlined form while also detouring into slower, more contemplative sounds on several tracks. 2023's Several Songs About Fire revealed a cleaner and more confident approach without straying from his most recognizable sound.

A. Savage has also released music as a member of Fergus & Geronimo and Parquet Courts.
