A Skillz is a breaks DJ and producer from the U.K. who has spun at parties and festivals across the globe. Across the years, he has combined funk and soul -- the backbone of old-school and golden age rap, his primary inspirations -- with flashes of drum’n’bass and dubstep. His first release of note was a collaboration with Krafty Kuts; in 2002, they issued “Tricka Technology” and then followed it the next year with an album of the same title. For the next several years, Mills worked predominantly with the 12” format, including over ten releases in the Insane Bangers series. He also mixed Freshtraxxx, a compilation of releases from the Finger Lickin' label. ~ Andy Kellman
