Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Watching The Box music network at my great-grandmother’s house and discovering artists like Korn, Blink-182 and MxPx. Shortly after, my mom bought me Enema Of The State and I was introduced to good music.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ghost, Meliora Ghost, Prequelle Ghost, Skeletá I had to put Ghost on all three. I love music across many genres, but what Ghost has created over the last decade is miraculous. Their sound and vision completely changed my life—I wouldn’t have chosen to pursue music if it weren’t for them.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Blood Atonement!” This is my second single and my current favorite. I love it because the subject matter is dark and violent and I love the irony that Blood Atonement was taught by someone still beloved in the Mormon faith. I also love the slightly unhinged feeling.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Too early to tell. I’ll let you know as a soon as something cool happens.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to reach those who currently don’t have a voice, whether they are oppressed by religion, the government, loved ones, the system. I want people to listen and feel heard.
