Boston rapper Akrobatik released his first single in 1998. Rawkus released his second single, "Internet MCs," but it was his next release, Say Yes Say Word, that solidified the MC's reputation. A frequent partner with Mr. Lif, Akrobatik appeared on both Emergency Rations and Lif's full-length, I Phantom, before dropping his own excellent debut, Balance, in 2003. In 2005 the MC, along with Lif and DJ Fakts One, released Black Dialogue (as the Perceptionists), and that same year, Akrobatik signed with Fat Beats. Absolute Value, an album that featured guest appearances from Talib Kweli, Little Brother, and of course Mr. Lif and Fakts One, came out in 2008. ~ Wade Kergan & Marisa Brown
