Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember my Dad setting up my toy drum set in front of the television so I could play drums with the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show. I used to dream that the Beatles were in my home town and wanted me to sit in for Ringo who was sick.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Annie Lennox, The Annie Lennox Collection Super Deluxe Version Genesis, Selling England By the Pound Pat Metheny Group, Pat Metheny Group I discovered the Genesis record in 1972. It opened my thinking about what music could be. Annie Lennox I love for her production team. The album Diva, production excellence. Pat Metheny inspired me to imagine that I could play music like his.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Amethyst (feat. Hans Christian)” This is the first song written for our upcoming Precious Stones album. It was our first collaboration with Hans Christian. I improvised the Mayo drum bed and we built around it. I have always loved the insistent energy of this tune.
