About Alex Comaish
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Honestly it was probably singing along to the Monkees greatest hits CD in the car on the way to school. To this day every track on that CD makes me think of a particular house on a particular street in sunny Brisbane, a long time ago.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Frank Turner, England Keep My Bones (Deluxe Edition)
KT Tunstall, Drastic Fantastic
The Clash, London Calling
Each of these albums paints a picture of a particular time and place in my musical journey and my own life. London Calling was the first vinyl I ever bought, Drastic Fantastic was one of the first albums I ever heard. EKMB defined my teen years.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Listening to London”
This is the first release that feels like a properly real song, and it sound tracks a part of my life where I felt lost and excited and overwhelmed all that same time.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
The first time a crowd sang the chorus of a song they'd never heard before back at me - that was awesome.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Everything is left on my bucket list, and all in good time. I'm only just getting started, mark my words.
