Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Playing Maple Leaf Rag on the piano at the Greenwich Audubon at about 10 years old! Loved Scott Joplin back then.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Jacob Collier, Djesse Vol. 4 Takako Mamiya, LOVE TRIP Toby Fox, Deltarune Chapters 3+4 (Original Game Soundtrack) Toby Fox essentially got me into using FL Studio, learning how to make a song, and then eventually I did and that ended up being “¡Desserts!”. Deltarune 3/4 is especially strong. I love city pop, LOVE TRIP is a classic. And Jacob Collier is great!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “¡Desserts! (feat. Moritz Eggert)” I recorded the draft version of ¡Desserts! in a rundown shack with cobwebs, and given the homemade quality it had, I was surprised to hear it got accepted to the Dein Song 2020 competition! That definitely changed my musical trajectory from then on.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Toby Fox liking my piano cover (on X) of one of his new Deltarune songs!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to play at Carnegie Hall someday and perhaps record a studio version of my new musical songs…
