Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was in high school, I was determined to learn how to play the guitar. I found my dad's acoustic in the basement storage room, along with a box of old music books. The first song I taught myself was Yellow Submarine, by the Beatles.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Caroline Marie Brooks, Everything at the Same Time Donovan Woods, Hard Settle, Ain't Troubled Rosie and the Riveters, Ms. Behave The effortlessness of Caroline Marie Brooks' songwriting is touching and hopeful. Ms. Behave was the last record I released with Rosie & the Riveters - I had a lot of fun in that band. Donovan Woods is also one of my favorite Canadian songwriters.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Johnny Cash” J'adore cette chanson, co-écrite avec Daniel Beaumont. Elle est ma préférée à cause de l'histoire qu'elle raconte : celle d'un couple qui tombe amoureux en écoutant des vinyles de Johnny Cash.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I saw (and heard!) the final edit and mix of my documentary film, French Enough. I scored the film too. Watching it felt like expressing my entire voice for the first time, in sight and in sound.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? How about a duet with Céline Dion ?? Pretty please!
