In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my first concerts ever was The Ramones at the Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee in 1978. Fourty-seven years later I still remember what that energy felt like, and the power of Johnny's guitar tone. It was the basis for everything since.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Billy Bragg, Life's a Riot with Spy vs. Spy Bonus Disc Version Jason & The Scorchers, Fervor / Lost & Found Ramones, It's Alive (Live) My first Scorchers show changed my musical life — I'd no idea that level of energy was possible — and Absolutely Sweet Marie personified it. Billy Bragg is my hero, and here's where it started for him. And It's Alive is just the best live album ever.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Ballad of Christopher Luxon” This is our first single, and it represents us. Catchy, energetic, a little humorous, and a lot angry. There will be more songs to come soon, but we're proud that this is our first.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The first time we put on our own show where we sold tickets, and we actually sold a fair few and made a few bucks. I was prepared for the worst, but we exceeded all expectations.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We'd really like to provide support for some big international acts coming through Auckland, and to play Australia and beyond.
