About Amaral
Amaral are a Spanish pop/rock band who began topping the national charts with remarkable frequency after the turn of the century. Comprised of songwriters Eva Amaral and Juan Aguirre, the duo made their debut with an eponymous album. The band's fortunes rose steadily, and 2002's Estrella de Mar peaked at number one on the Spanish albums chart and spawned five chart-topping hit singles, including "Sin Ti No Soy Nada" and "Moriría por Vos." The follow-up again peaked at number one and also spawned five chart-topping hit singles. In 2008, Amaral returned with the double album Gato Negro/Dragon Rojo and a number one single, "Kamikaze." ~ Jason Birchmeier
