Before recording his first album, 2010’s The Ladder, Andrew Belle won a John Lennon Songwriting award.
∙ The Ladder’s title song spent several weeks at No. 1 on iTunes’ Singer-Songwriter chart.
∙ On his second album, 2013’s Black Bear, Belle shifted from an acoustic sound to an electronic approach influenced by M83, Beach House, Washed Out, and James Blake.
