In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My parents loved Country music; things like Kenny Rogers, Don Williams, Charley Pride, Tammy Wynette, Glenn Campbell and of course Dolly. In my younger years I thought it was twee and old fashioned. But as I got older, I got a real love for Country.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Crowded House, Together Alone Deep Purple, Perfect Strangers (Bonus Track Version) (Remastered)[Bonus Tracks] Queen, News of the World Remastered I chose News Of The World, because it's a rawer Queen - but I love all their albums. I love Together Alone, as I fell in love to this album...and Neil Finn is an amazing songwriter. And Perfect Strangers as the excitement, love and anger is tangible.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Game” I love The Game as it means so much to me on so many levels. It's a song that began life 30 years ago, but only now after metamorphosing over the years and being joined by some truly amazing musicians, it is the epic I always wanted it to be.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I could say being grabbed by the lapels by Fish, who was feigning anger with a twinkle in his eye or getting a glowing review from Roy Thomas Baker, but truthfully it was probably playing a massive hometown gig recently - there was love in the air!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Basically everything! Life is too short to rest on your laurels! There's so much I'd love to do and I'll just keep trying to make the best music I can. Although, as Brian May is the reason I play guitar, I'd love to buy him a beer or 2 to say thanks!
