About Ash Static
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Growing up, music was always playing at home. My mother had returned from the U.S. in the early 2000s and introduced me to a wide range of artists and sounds, which sparked my lifelong love for music.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Comethazine, Bawskee 4
Key Glock, Glockoma
Megan Thee Stallion, Good News
Bawskee taught me confidence. Good News showed me the power of personality and versatility. Glockoma shaped my appreciation for hard-hitting production and delivery.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Midnight Coffeeee”
This song special to me because it represents a key moment in my journey as an artist. It reminds me of how much I've grown creatively and personally, and it still reflects the confidence and passion I bring to my music today.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
It was definitely releasing my first rap project, PROJECT XI, in 2021. It was the first time I shared a complete body of work with listeners, and even though it was only a two track EP, it gave me the confidence to continue pursuing music.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
One of my biggest goals as an artist is to perform outside my home country and connect with audiences around the world. I'd also love to win an award someday, regardless of the size, and continue building an international fanbase.
