Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember being so excited that I had memorized the lyrics to all of the Pre-K "colors songs". I couldn't wait to go to my grandparents house that weekend and put on a colors song showcase! I got my very first $1 tip that night and a big applause!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Jo Dee Messina, I'm Alright Keith Urban, Golden Road The Chicks, Wide Open Spaces These albums embody everything I grew up wanting to be as an artist. They are genuine, honest and ground-breaking! In my opinion, these 3 albums (and a few others) truly set the stage for what new country music was going to be - and is today!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Promises and Mistakes (feat. Blane Howard)” Not only was this my first ever single to release, but it was a collaboration with an artist I respect deeply. I started out opening for Blane Howard when I was 16 yrs old. The full-circle nature of releasing this single alongside Blane is humbling!
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The first time one of my songs was played on the radio, I called my Aunt to tell her. She was at work and she started calling her colleagues in the room to hear. She said "MY NEICE IS ON THE RADIO" and started to cry. I'll never forget that moment.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I think the beautiful thing about a bucket list is that it's fluid - you can always dump something out of the bucket and add something else back in. I'll never stop dreaming, so I'll definitely never stop adding more things to that bucket list!
