Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
One day during a rehearsal when we locked into a groove and stopped speaking. A simple rhythm evolved through listening and space. That was the moment I understood the trio was about shared movement, not individual solos.

Ambrose Akinmusire, the imagined savior is far easier to paint

Blackstar showed me how experimentation and songwriting can coexist without compromise. The Akinmusire album inspires me with its restraint, vulnerability, and fearless use of silence.
