About AudioDamn!
The soulful rockers in AudioDamn! joined forces after being introduced by their mutual manager in 2009, even though the two Austrians -- Oliver "Oli" Wimmer (vocals/guitar) and Ali Grumeth (guitar/bass/vocals) -- had their own respective projects. Originally called Amsterdamn!, the guys moved to Mannheim, Germany, and together they enrolled at the Popakademie Baden-Wurttemberg, where they met drummer Daniel "Mudi" Mudrack in 2011. Playing a beat-driven blend of jazzy rock that challenged genre definition, the trio signed with Epic Records in 2015. With Wimmer's falsetto and the hard-hitting rhythms of Grumeth and Mudrack, they created a fun sound similar to a combination of Maroon 5, Fall Out Boy, and OKGo, incorporating influences ranging from Michael Jackson and Queen to Foo Fighters and Justin Timberlake. The band released their self-titled debut CD EP in early 2016, featuring the singles "Radar" and "Lights Out." ~ Neil Z. Yeung
