Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was a kid I’d lie in bed unable to sleep, listening to my dad practicing piano downstairs. He’s 77 now and still plays keys in a band, currently a Ska band, but back then I remember him playing tracks like Life On Mars and Clair de Lune. Jamie
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Daft Punk, Homework Pink Floyd, The Dark Side of the Moon Remastered The Prodigy, Music for the Jilted Generation First album that made me appreciate music as one connected journey. Jamie Seminal 90s house record that soundtracked my youth and still sounds timeless. Rich Futuristic, immersive album that sparked my obsession with electronic music. Jamie
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Like an Eagle (Radio Version)” Gomma Records invited us onto a Casablanca disco covers project with Nancy Whang from LCD Soundsystem. We chose Dennis Parker’s Like An Eagle and recreated the entire track by ear. Easily the most detailed and time-consuming track we’ve worked on.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Hearing Luciano play our debut track Robot twice in a row at DC10 Ibiza back in 2006 felt surreal. A magical moment that gave us belief and quietly marked the beginning of everything that followed.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Playing at Panorama Bar in Berlin would be cool...
