About Back Bone
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
One of my first memories is hearing the Mozart requiem lying in my cradle. I was only about six months old but I loved it so much and wanted to hear it all the time. The version conducted by Sir Georg Solti in 1991 is unmatched.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Bullet for My Valentine, The Poison
Green Day, American Idiot
LINKIN PARK, Meteora
The production, the songwriting, the musicality paired with relatable simplicity is just great. These albums hit the sweet spot of the early 2000s era, combining high end production, musical tightness but still very unique vibes to each album.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Swallowed By The Void”
This song describes a crucial part of my journey in finding my faith in God - Jesus Christ. The darkness I faced was impenetrable and finding this faith saved my life for real. It includes the darkest moment before my life was given back to me.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
My bandmates and I are ready with a new album and what makes this special, is that we recorded everything live. No edits, no autotune, no drum software, no midi bass, all raw and real und NOT time alined and all produced, mixed and mastered by me.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Play some big freaking shows one day, have a crowd go wild and proclaim the everlasting greatness and glory of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Far down the line, composing a real symphony is something I will put my hands on.
