Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a band our earliest memory together is playing shows in middle school together when we had all just fallen in love with music.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Pepper, Kona Town Sticky Fingers, Caress Your Soul Sublime, Sublime These three albums not only helped shape the sound of Backset but also helped us fall in love with music. An artist from our home of Hawaii making it big and being a band we can look up to in Pepper. Mixed with bands who embody our lifestyles.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Want You to Know” This was the first song we wrote and recorded with our solidified lineup. An era of Backset where we are taking things seriously. The first song that made us feel like we can do this.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Going on tour with the band Surfer Girl was one of the greatest experiences. Getting to meet their fans while creating our own, going to cities we had never been and being able to share our aloha and music with the mainland.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Touring coast to coast in the US and playing a show in Brazil where our lead singer Gabriel Goes is from would be top of our list. Along with playing festivals like Vans Warped Tour and Cali Roots
