Counting emo contemporaries such as Modern Baseball and Sorority Noise among like-minded influences, Barely Civil is an indie rock band that formed in Wausau, Wisconsin in 2012. Their debut EP, Year of the Dog, arrived in 2016 via Hawaiian Shirt Records and featured the lineup of singer/guitarist Connor Erickson, guitarist/backing vocalist Alex Larsen, bassist Ben Forst, and drummer Isaac Marquardt. Take This to Heart Records released Barely Civil's full-length debut, We Can Live Here Forever, in March 2018. Its pensive indie rock reached the Top 20 of the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart. ~ Marcy Donelson
