In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was about 5 my mum played me Oxygene by Jean-Michel Jarre. I then wrote a reply to that song using 3 notes on my kid’s keyboard which I entitled ‘Reflectors’.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? The Smiths, Strangeways, Here We Come The Stone Roses, The Stone Roses Remastered 2009 The Streets, A Grand Don't Come for Free Stone Roses - showed us that an indie band can create soul music Strangeways Here We Come - proved that an album can be wildly idiosyncratic whilst incredibly popular A Grand Don’t Come For Free - one of the greatest concept albums of all time
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Stop” Writing the song came very quickly at the end of a rehearsal. The riff & bass line just landed out of nowhere. It was a rare moment of magic where everything jelled, it was such an authentic band moment of true cooperative mindset. A day to savour.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Opening Radio 1’s big weekend (2006) to 10,000 people (and meeting Dave Grohl in catering)
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Playing Glastonbury is top of the list for us currently!
