About Beibei Wang
Beibei Wang is a virtuosic percussionist who is equally adept at performing classical, traditional Chinese, and experimental works. Celebrated for her dynamic performances and cross-cultural collaborations, she has performed with the BBC Concert Orchestra and BBC Symphony Orchestra, as well as other orchestras and ensembles including the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and Manchester Collective. She has worked with composer Tan Dun throughout her career, and has performed many of his works as a primary percussionist. Wang was a jury member for the 2022 BBC Young Musician competition. She has taught Chinese percussion at the University of London and London Performing Academy of Music. She collaborated with Northern Irish artist Hannah Peel on the 2026 album The Endless Dance.
