About Benson
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Growing up in Nigeria, music was always around me. Afrobeat, Highlife, and street pop were constantly playing in my environment, and those sounds shaped how I connected with music from an early age. I was fascinated by melodies and rhythms.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Collaborating with producers and artists across the scene, appeared on projects such as Bad Boys Broadcast by BizzontheTrack and Clean Slate by Malik Abdul. Through each release, I was able to merge my sound with a refined, Afrobeat style.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
My goal is to redefine Afrobeat in my own way—mixing culture, melody, and rhythm with a luxury feel. Whether it’s a smooth Afro-Fusion vibe or an energetic Afro-pop record, I always want my music to feel real, relatable, and timeless.
