About Bernard + Edith
Bernard + Edith are a Manchester-based electronic pop duo consisting of Greta "Edith" Carroll and Nick "Bernard" Delap. With their dark, textural sound, they draw on influences like Portishead, Cocteau Twins, and especially the atmospheric world of David Lynch's Twin Peaks television show and its Angelo Badalamenti-scored soundtrack. Using their middle names as the band's moniker, Carroll and Delap released their debut single, "Poppy," on Mancunian label SWAYS Records in 2014. Their soulful art-pop caught the attention of veteran label Bella Union, which signed them later that year. Their debut LP, Jem, was released in May 2015. ~ Timothy Monger
