About be:rt
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember hearing a boy play trumpet at school and begging my parents to let me learn. At my first lesson there were no trumpets, so I ended up with a trombone—twice my size and definitely not what I had in mind!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Daniel Avery, Ultra Truth Jon Hopkins, Immunity Massive Attack, Mezzanine Daniel Avery’s Ultra Truth pulls me in with its dark, emotional energy. Jon Hopkins’ Immunity blends delicate piano with driving techno, perfect for focus. Massive Attack’s Mezzanine is timeless—moody, layered, and always inspiring.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Swathe” Swathe feels like one of my most personal tracks, written late at night when everything was quiet. I love how the hazy textures and pulsing rhythm capture that drifting state between memory and dream — it always takes me back to that moment.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments was the first time I has one of my edits played on the radio. It felt surreal and quietly validating to hear something I had written reaching strangers, like my bedroom studio had suddenly become a shared space.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’d love to take my music to a live festival setting, building an immersive set that blends visuals with sound. Another dream is to release a vinyl pressing of my work—there’s something timeless about holding music in that format.
