Blank Dogs is the moniker used by an essentially anonymous Brooklyn-based bedroom synth-punker. Drawing on the darker strands of post-punk and synth pop, Blank Dogs removes the music from its logical place on the dancefloor and funnels it through the lo-fi aesthetics of the D.I.Y. approach, providing a soundtrack--one that is at times quite catchy--to both a personal and a universal sense of isolation and disconnect. A highly prolific outfit, Blank Dogs have released hundreds of songs on tape, seven-inch vinyl, LP, CD, and as free downloads on the internet since starting in the mid '00s.
