About Bob Bert
Bob Bert is a drummer and a force in alternative culture who has been active since the early ‘80s in various bands that have helped define the American underground. Bert played in Sonic Youth between 1982 and 1985, and from there was a member of P***y Galore, Chrome Cranks, Five Dollar Priest, and many other bands, as well as collaborating with Lydia Lunch, Kid Congo Powers, and others. Bert’s first proper album under his own name was the percussion-heavy Beach Bongo Bloodbath, released in 2026.
