In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 3, I mastered playing a stringless guitar. At 7, tried violin for six weeks, but painfully, it DID have strings! Trumpet in 5th grade was better, but it was good we rented, not purchased. Piano was fine but picking up a guitar: liberation!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Marley & The Wailers, Legend – The Best Of Bob Marley & The Wailers Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Déjà Vu The Beatles, The Beatles (The White Album) The White Album: Brilliant songwriting. Those voices. Déjà Vu: The most incredible harmony blend, great tracks. More raw than CSN. Legend: Cassette version over the CD. Made reggae my soul music. Only wrote reggae songs for 10 years after this.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Hearing my music on the radio for the first time was not only intensely exciting, but shocking too, because I hadn't yet sent the EP to anyone or any radio station. My brain couldn't process what I was hearing. And I never found out how it got there!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Prepping tracks for 2 reggae albums and an acoustic album. But since my bands always featured my music, which meant I was front and center, I think it would be a LOT of fun to be a rhythm guitarist/background vocalist in a reggae band!
