Boris Titulaer, known in his Dutch homeland as simply Boris, is a pop singer with a soul-jazz edge who rose to fame in 2004 on the second season of the reality television show Idols. Born in Venlo in 1980, he began his music career in the group Sofuja with Gino Taihuttu. His fate took a sharp turn in May 2004, when he became the second-season winner of Idols. Within weeks, his debut single, "When You Think of Me," was released to chart-topping success. His solo album debut, Rely on Me, also hit number one. Holy Pleasure from 2006 and Live My Life from 2009 were less popular than their predecessor, yet they still charted inside the Top Ten of the Dutch albums chart and spawned a few minor hits. ~ Jason Birchmeier
