Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I received my first guitar on Christmas Day in 1978. The rock band KISS was my initial inspiration. I saw them as superheroes whose musical instruments were the source of their power, and I too was empowered when I began to play.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?

Steely Dan, A Decade of Steely Dan (Remastered) (Gold Disc Version)
"Band On the Run" is a remedy for anything that ails me. Listening to it puts me at ease. "Do It Again" by Steely Dan was my very first favorite song, and their musicianship continues to inspire. Ghost is a modern artist that appeals to me musically.

“Dear Ryley”
"Dear Ryley" is a song that I wrote for the love of my young granddaughter. It's a very simple melody played over a sophisticated chord progression. It features my late great mentor, Max Bennett on bass, and an all-star band of world-class musicians.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
As a musician, I always craved validation from my superiors. Guitarist Allan Holdsworth told me I was a great player, Conductor Carl St. Clair told me I was a great arranger, and my mentor Max Bennett called on world-class players to record my music.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I started as a hair metal shredder in the 1980s and was able to achieve all of my teenage dreams, I then found success on a Jazz Quest, and now I would like to compose an orchestral score for a major motion picture.
