In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
One of my earliest memories is sitting in the living room floor with my Mama's old 45's and picking out my favorites to play on the turntable.
Some of my favorites as a child, from her collection, were Charley Pride, CCR & Elvis. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Alice Gerrard, Hazel Dickens, Hazel & Alice
Elvis Presley, How Great Thou Art
Shannon McNally, Shannon McNally Live At Dee's (Live)
I love Hazel & Alice because they were on the forefront of bluegrass for women. If you aren't moved, stirred and brought to your knees by Elvis's singing How Great Thou Art, something is wrong.
Shannon McNally's musicality is phenomenal. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Lights Aglow On the Bayou”
This song moves me to tears every time I sing it.
It is the story of my childhood at Christmas-time and also my reminiscing as an adult. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Every time my music moves someone, makes them dance, sing along, etc. and they relay that to me, that moment is my most memorable moment.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
There are so many things left on my bucket list as an artist.
I never stop creating and never stop dreaming.
It is what fuels me.
