On 'Modern Life...' Graham Coxon wrote some of the most creative parts I've ever heard. The Stone Roses had a magic that I've not quite felt in any other music. And 'Automatic...' is a gorgeously relaxed album, with beautiful vocals from Stipe.

“Broken Record”
I wrote this initially as a leaving present for a female friend that I had developed feelings for. Unfortunately I found out a few things later that somewhat soured the relationship, so this song took on a different meaning which only added to it.
