Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was surrounded by music from an early age. My father is a musician and would bring the guitar out at almost every family gathering. So there would be song and laughter with everyone wanting to be involved.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Paul Kelly, Paul Kelly's Greatest Hits: Songs From The South 1985-2019 Powderfinger, Internationalist The Tea Party, TRIPtych I love Triptych for its originality and versatile east meets west sound. Paul Kelly for his lyrical storytelling mastery. And Powderfinger Internationalist is such an iconic Australian rock album that always deserves a re-listen.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Wash Off The World (feat. Jeff Martin)” The song came from a feeling of popping your head out of the clouds and being able to clearly see us all “running on the wheel”, a metaphor for the big machine. Wanting to run and dive into the ocean, wash off the world and snap out of the cycle.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Meeting a musical idol of mine, Jeff Martin from The Tea Party and having Jeff offer to produce my debut album.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Following our first album tour across Australia, as a band we want to get overseas asap and tour Canada, the USA and UK
