In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
“As I sat sadly by her side”, with the rolling keys of the piano fluttering, played by Nick Cave. I was very young, just a little kid. Jackie (Mum) & Drew (Dad) Anderson were divorced and Dad was living in my mother’s house. That song was on repeat.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Emilie Nicolas, Let Her Breathe
Snarky Puppy, We Like It Here
Thomas Dybdahl, Fever (Extended Version)
Intricate base states for the songs are set out. They’re exceptionally well produced. And they also house my favourite guitarists, percussionists and my favourite synth players, and bassist. Shoutout to Thomas Dybdahl’s “Call Me By Your Name”.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Collaborating with Damien Rice and Co. on “Song for Berta” - Instrumental & “Song from Berta” - Single. He was my favourite musician in the world growing up, from age 7, into my late 20’s.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I’d like to produce an album with a colleague. We’ll see if we can come up with something nice.
There’s gotta be something awesome waiting for me in Iceland, too. I’m not really a bucket lister though, more into the spontaneity’s in life.
