About Caleb Macken
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Hearing 80's artist like Ultravox and Tears For Fears on the radio as a child and discovering punk in the form of the Sex Pistols.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Kraftwerk, Computer World (Remastered)
Leftfield, Rhythm and Stealth
Wu-Tang Clan, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) [Expanded Edition]
Wu Tang's RZA's manipulation of soul samples into something new and atmospheric was captivating. Leftfield introduced me to the sound of electronic dub and Kraftwerk's 'Computer World' was one of my first introductions to fully electronic music.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Ebb And Flow”
Deep, dubby and full of texture with n 808 drum machine backbone. All the elements I like in a song of my own.
