Upon their formation in 1996 under the moniker of Camel Toe, Doug White (bass/sampler), Oscar Galvao (drums), and JP Ferris (guitar/vocals) brought out their hybrid of straightforward funk, digital samples, and an absurd sense of humor -- as given by the name of their band -- to their native of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. All of this was eventually captured on their self-released, self-titled debut album, which came out in 1998. ~ Mike DaRonco
