About Canning
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
During childhood, Ricky recalls the FM radio in the family’s living room where he found himself sitting many, many times in an armchair anxiously waiting for a particular song....‘He heard one guitar’...and was hooked for life.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin, Paco de Lucía, Friday Night in San Francisco
Björk, Debut
TOOL, Undertow
These three albums represent a rather large dynamic between styles but the initial attacks and depths that each album presents within itself, is so equally...delighting...

“For You”
'For You' was originally a four chord song in which the basic structure was written a long, long time ago. The melodic idea kept popping up every so often so eventually we gave it a go again...turned out to be something so wonderful!
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
The most memorable moment is the present moment when playing on stage together or in the space working things out...just playing are the best moments...
