About Castro
Castro are an indie folk trio from Dallas, Texas comprised of siblings Jason, Jackie, and Michael Castro. Jason, the eldest sibling, initially found success as a solo artist after becoming the fourth place finalist on American Idol in 2008. Both Jackie and Michael were also forging their own careers as singer/songwriters when, in 2015, the three Castros decided to combine their efforts and form a band. Working with producer Charlie Peacock (the Civil Wars, the Lone Bellow), they recorded their debut EP, Diamond Dreams, which was released in 2016. Their music is a rich blend of uplifting harmonies and folk/pop songwriting. ~ Timothy Monger
