About Cavanaugh
Longtime friends and mutual admirers, Open Mike Eagle and Serengeti are also two left-field MCs who finally came together in 2015 as Cavanaugh. The project debuted in 2015 with the LP Time and Materials, a concept album that found the duo working as maintenance men at the Cavanaugh building. The fictional high-rise, located in Detroit, Florida, markets itself as half luxury condominiums, half Section 8 housing. The album featured guest spots from P.O.S., Hemlock Ernst, and Busdriver. ~ David Jeffries
