Consisting of Jere Cherryholmes (Pop), Sandy Lee (Mom), and four Cherryholmes children, the bluegrass band Cherryholmes is an inspiring throwback to successful musician families from all genres. Jere hatched the idea in 1999, before two of the future band's members had even picked up an instrument. They quickly established their unique sound, poppy bluegrass accentuated with twin fiddles, yodeling, and old-time claw hammer. They've since gone on to release three albums themselves, and three on the Skaggs Family label, earning a Grammy nomination for both 2005's CHERRYHOLMES and 2006's CHERRYHOLMES II: BLACK AND WHITE.
