About Chris Blanton
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
When I was seven, growing up in the rural north Georgia town of Rutledge, I would climb the huge oak tree in our backyard and park myself on a sturdy branch with pen and paper, and write songs about "cows and such" :)
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Delirious?, Cutting Edge 1 & 2
Eric Clapton, Unplugged (Deluxe Edition) [Live]
Randy Travis, Always & Forever
Randy Travis' smooth baritone voice taught all of us 80s kids that we had permission to be ourselves, vocally and instrumentally. Martin Smith and company inspired us church teenagers to stretch our musical prowess. Clapton is simply timeless.

“Different Kind of Christmas”
Holidays can be an emotional roller coaster for those of us who've lost loved ones, especially if this is the first year without them. This song recognizes the struggle and offers a tangible way to honor the memory of the dearly departed.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
For a handful of Decembers in Athens, Al Ligotti invited me to dress up like Santa and sing Bing Crosby's White Christmas with the Athens Symphony Orchestra! I truly enjoyed listening to bright eyed children describe their hopes for the coming weeks.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I'd really like to do an RV tour with my family as my band! Our older two kids already have some great drums and piano chops, and the younger three are showing signs of great expressions on bass / electric / keys -- and they all sing really well.
