About Chris DeCloud
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I remember my grandpa and grandma singing 'In the Garden' to me when I was 6. Their soulful voices still resonate in my mind and heart, filling me with a sense of peace and beauty every time I hear it.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Adam Calhoun, Tom MacDonald, The Brave
Elvis Presley, Peace In the Valley: The Complete Gospel Recordings
Johnny Cash, American IV: The Man Comes Around
These three albums offer a unique perspective and message that speaks to me on a deep level. The first two are testaments to raw talent, timelessness, and passion for the Gospel, and 'The Brave' provides a powerful commentary on society today.

“Puente Sobre Aguas Turbulentas”
My first release was a Spanish song that I recorded despite not speaking the language. Inspired by Camilo Sesto's version, I aimed to capture a new expression. Despite the difficulty, it was rewarding showcased my creativity and musical vision.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Having my first song reach over 60,000 streams within two months was incredible. I never expected to get so many as a new independent artist.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I aspire to expand my musical horizons by reimagining songs that resonate with me and creating my own original compositions. I'm excited to delve into diverse genres and experiment with blending them to create unique musical expressions.
