Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. In primary school we had a teacher Mr. Floris Weideman, farther of the poet George. He was a good choir master. Some songs we learnt from him are still among my favorites today.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Lucas Maree, Kiekies Neil Diamond, Hot August Night (40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) Paul Simon, Graceland HAN, played many a late night in high school. Not filmed, it forces you to listen and imagine! Graceland, Paul Simon with artist from my country South Africa, simply one of the best. Kiekies, some the best of one of the best Afrikaans songwriters.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Dopper Joris” It is a poem that was published in a news paper in Cape Town on July 31, 1873. I set it to music at the end of 2019 and was glad to be able to release it on July 19, shortly before the 150th birthday of the poem.
