Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memories can be traced back to hearing lots of 80’s pop and 90’s R&B. Hip-hop didn’t start showing up in my surroundings until the mid to late 90’s. And mostly then it was the main radio hit records that got played.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Drake, Take Care (Deluxe Version) Kendrick Lamar, good kid, m.A.A.d city (Deluxe Version) Nas, Illmatic Illmatic can transport you to what it was like to be a kid growing up rough with all that detail and story telling. Take Care is such a crafted vibe through the whole project. GKMC was and still is an instant classic and extremely vivid album.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Toxic Regret” The song came to me on a whim. Was looking for inspiration to finish some music. The instrumentation and vibe immediately brought out concepts/thoughts I had been feeling for some time. Now looking back it was a very necessary expression.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing at a local bar during the release date of one of my best projects. Spending time with so many good people and getting to experience a joint celebration of my creative expression.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Work with more artists and collaborate with new artists as well. Continue to improve my quality of music and song writing. Become a more well known staple of music in my area.
